HELLO
Sherrod Scot Melvin is a creative leader with 20+ years of experience across consumer, retail, and technology brands, focused on making entertaining, culturally significant work that moves people and drives results. His work has been recognized by every major industry award show for both creativity and effectiveness.

Most recently an Executive Creative Director at McCann New York, Sherrod led the Reckitt Benckiser portfolio (Lysol, Mucinex) along with VMS brands Airborne, Biofreeze, and Neuriva.

For nearly eight years, he ran McCann’s largest account, Verizon, leading an award-winning team of 20+ creatives and helping launch the brand’s 5G network. His “On The Network” campaign—featuring Adam Scott, Cecily Strong, Seth Meyers, and Paul Giamatti atop a massive Verizon sign—was spoofed by SNL and Ryan Reynolds’ Mint Mobile.

Previously, Sherrod served as a Group Creative Director on Microsoft, helping Xbox launch the Adaptive Controller, an inclusive controller built for all abilities of play.

Prior to McCann, Sherrod was at MullenLowe in Boston, where he helped win Grey Goose Vodka and U.S. Cellular as new business and led creative on JetBlue Airways.

Earlier in his career, Sherrod worked at Cliff Freeman & Partners and BBDO New York, helping bring GE’s “Ecomagination” to life, creating thirst-quenching OOH for Pepsi, and producing a visually impacting, not impairing, bar campaign for Guinness.

Originally from Kentucky, Sherrod moved to New York City to attend the School of Visual Arts.

His hair is not photoshopped.
