HELLO
Creative leader. Executive Creative Director. Hair is not photoshopped.

Sherrod Scot Melvin is a creative leader with over twenty years experience on consumer, retail and technology brands. He focuses on making entertaining, culturally significant work for his clients. Over the course of his career, his work has been recognized by every major industry award show for both creativity and effectiveness.

Most recently an Executive Creative Director at McCann NY, he ran the agency’s largest account – Verizon, and led 20+ creative teams to build and establish the launch of Verizon’s 5G Network. His “On The Network” campaign featured Adam Scott, Cecily Strong, Seth Meyers and the great Paul Giamatti sitting on a huge Verizon sign and was spoofed by SNL and Ryan Reynolds Mint Mobile company. As a Group Creative Director on the Microsoft team, he helped Xbox launch the Adaptive Controller. An inclusive controller built for all users’ abilities of play. From quadriplegics to people with muscular dystrophy – Microsoft completely changed how the game is played.

Prior to McCann, he spent time at Mullen/Lowe in Boston where he was part of the new business pitch team that won Diageo’s swanky Grey Goose Vodka and Chicago-based wireless company, U.S. Cellular. All while tending to his day-to-day creative duties on JetBlue Airways.

Before Mullen, Sherrod cut his teeth at BBDO NY, where he helped launch GE’s “Ecomagination” campaign, created an unforgettable thirst-quench for Pepsi and a visually impacting, not impairing,
bar campaign for Guinness.
